Working in IVY-VE

The built 3D virtual environment with the virtual interpreting scenarios, multilingual audiovisual content and learning activities is now available in Second Life. If you would like to have access to the IVY Second Life environment, please contact us and we will be happy to discuss your requirements further. If you are already working in the IVY environment, you can find documents to assist you on this website, including handbooks aimed at new users or administrators, learning activities for interpreting students, and a guidelines and best practice document, which will assist interpreting students and clients of interpreting services make best use of the IVY environment.

The IVY environment has three working modes: Interpreting mode, Exploration mode, and Live mode. The three working modes and resources are all accessed via the IVY heads-up display (HUD) (see handbook [link above] to learn how to access the HUD).
